La Haute-Vienne possède plus de 12 000 étangs.

Sans ces étangs, notre département ne serait-ce qu’il est : un département fait d’eau, de forêt et d’élevage. Face au changement climatique, ces réserves d’eau douce sont une chance inouïe pour notre département. Grace à leurs nombreux atouts, les étangs sont autant de réponses aux enjeux sanitaires, économiques, écologiques et sociaux de demain. Notre syndicat défend la protection de ces réserves d’eau douce fragiles et les positionne comme des trésors patrimoniaux qu’il faut absolument préserver.

L’eau est un enjeu vital et il serait irresponsable de la gâcher car : « L’eau renversée est difficile à rattraper » dit un proverbe Chinois.
